Alphonso Davies picking up an injury against the USA in the March international break has hurt Bayern Munich’s quest for silverware. The blame shifted towards his national team coach Jesse Marsch for playing Davies who was reportedly not fully fit; at the same time, some reports indicated that Davies offered himself to play. Marsch insists that he is not guilty of foul play.

“We didn’t put any pressure on the player”, Marsch said (Sky Sports Austria as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “He was healthy and ready. It was a pity that the injury happened.

I couldn’t do anything about it. He’s a young player with a great future. Injuries are normal in football.

Alphonso is an incredibly strong guy, maybe the strongest I’ve coached in my life. I believe he’ll come back even stronger and be ready for the coming years”.Because of Davies’ absence, along with other key Bayern players, the Bavarians are now in contention for the Bundesliga only for a chance at silverware.

Are Bayern Munich fans just exhausted and mentally worn down from the past few seasons? Maybe! The supporters might be losing some steam after a tumultuous period, so let’s talk about why so many are just zapped. We’ve also got some chatter on the transfer rumors surrounding Kim Min-jae and why Joshua Kimmich is shouldering so much of the blame after Bayern was eliminated from the Champions League by Inter Milan.
