ISLAMABAD - Jiangsu Food and Pharmaceutical Science College, China and Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) have signed a Letter of Cooperation to jointly develop a three-year diploma programme in Intelligent Food Processing Technology. Under the agreement, the Jiangsu-based college will contribute its technical expertise and digital resources to support curriculum development, platform construction, and faculty training. The collaboration, facilitated by Chinese education service providers ITMC China and UNI Int’l, was announced on April 22.
According to UNI Int’l, the program is part of a broader Chinese government initiative that encourages its vocational colleges to engage in international cooperation with institutions in partner countries. Funding is provided domestically to support such collaborations, with the aim of fostering mutual learning and capacity-building across borders. “Chinese colleges are encouraged to identify potential partners in countries with strong bilateral ties.
Through this, we aim to promote practical cooperation in education and skills development,” a UNI Int’l official told Gwadar Pro. By integrating advanced practices from China’s vocational education system, the programme is expected to help Sindh TEVTA enhance its training capabilities in line with global standards, particularly in emerging fields like intelligent food processing..
