Introduction

In response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 Indian civilians, India carried out 'Operation Sindoor' on Wednesday, in which two female military officers - Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh - briefed the media, not only showing India's precise and effective response but also proving that women in the country's armed forces are no longer just playing a role, they are leading.

Operation Sindoor: Precise Attack, Strong Leadership

Operation Sindoor was carried out between 1:05 am and 1:30 am on Wednesday. This action was taken out by targeting nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). Colonel Sofia Qureshi informed that all these nine targets were selected on the basis of intelligence and involvement in cross-border terrorist activities. In this press briefing, she confidently presented India's military strategy and action, which is a living example of women's empowerment.
