Cops investigate deaths of two elderly individuals

Chennai: Police are investigating two separate incidents involving the deaths of elderly people. In the first case, 75-year-old Vijayabanu was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her Valasaravakkam home. In the second case, 63-year-old Arunachalam was found dead in his house at Thirumullaivoyal.

Vijayabanu, who lived alone, had not been seen or heard from for the past four days. Neighbours alerted police, and they found Vijayabanu's body in a severely decomposed state. Police said that though no immediate signs of foul play were observed, they are continuing their inquiry.

Arunachalam, who lived alone after seperating from his wife, had not been in contact with anyone for a while, Neighbours alerted police, who found his decomposed body inside the house.
