DAILY POST reports that Governor Bago gave the instruction in Minna during a security meeting on Tuesday. He explained that the measure is part of his government’s efforts to curb the resurgence of insecurity in Minna, the state capital.

However, reacting to the declaration in an Instagram post on Thursday, Daddy Showkey, who is known for his signature dreadlocks, questioned whether dreadlocks were the cause of insecurity. While revealing plans to cancel his scheduled trip to Niger State following the directive, Showkey challenged the governor to cut off his own beard first before cutting people’s hair. He wrote: “Mohammed Umar na Dada be your problem? I dey come to Minna but now that you asked your security agents to cut off dreadlocks, so hold your state but make you cut your beer beer.
