Bayern to make move for Chelsea midfielder? (Daily Mail) Bayern Munich could be looking at refreshing several spots on the roster this summer, but midfield is not exactly one that many fans were anticipating the club to invest in. Per one report, Bayern Munich could be taking a close look at Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos: Bayern Munich are maintaining a watching brief on Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos as he continues to impress on loan at Strasbourg. The 20-year old has had a standout season in the French league under the guidance of Liam Rosenior and has scored ten goals this season.

Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 for £17.5million and they are keen to take a closer look at him this pre-season before making a decision on his next career step. As Mail Sport reported this week Enzo Maresca is expected to utilise Santos at the World Club Championship in June.

The youngster had an inauspicious loan spell at Nottingham Forest last year but has found his form in France after being afforded a run of games. AC Milan have also kept an eye on his situation but Bayern are understood to be more serious in their appreciation of the young Brazil international. Santos is on loan at Strasbourg and have a very good season.

Bayern will only part ways with defender on permanent deal (JuveFC.com) Rumors have been swirling around a potential transfer for Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae, but one thing is becoming clear — there will be no loan.

Min-jae will either stay in Bavaria or leave on a permanent move: According to Sky Sport DE (via TuttoJuve), Bayern would be willing to do business, but they will only consider a permanent sale. Hence, the Bundesliga leaders aren’t open to sending the defender away on an initial loan deal with an option or an obligation to buy. This could be a blow for Juventus who would likely struggle to pull off a permanent transfer in the summer, as they already have several other obligations to perform, like purchasing Nico Gonzalez, Michele Di Gregorio and Lloyd Kelly, amongst others.

Moreover, the Bianconeri have decided to exercise their option to buy Pierre Kalulu from Milan. (talkSPORT) Real Madrid could be positioning itself for a move to replace Carlo Ancelotti — and the frontrunner for the position is former Bayern Munich midfielder and current Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso: Bayer Leverkusen will not stand in Xabi Alonso’s way of joining Real Madrid, talkSPORT understands. The Spanish giants are expected to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti following their Champions League exit. Ancelotti will meet with the club following the Copa del Rey final on April 26.

The Italian could leave at the end of the campaign or following the Club World Cup this summer. Jurgen Klopp had also been linked with succeeding him but has never been a candidate for Real Madrid. The former Liverpool boss has been Red Bull’s head of global soccer since signing a four-year deal in January.

As for Alonso, he is set to enter the final year of his contract at Leverkusen. It comes after he guided them to their first-ever Bundesliga title last season without losing a single match. Alonso previously began his coaching career at Real Madrid working with the club’s academy.

He also spent five years at the Santiago Bernabeu as a player between 2009 and 2014. The Leverkusen boss was asked about his links to Real Madrid ahead of Sunday’s clash with St. Pauli.

Discussing his future, he explained: “It’s not a good time to discuss the future. We’re at a very important moment in the season. I don’t want to talk about speculation and rumours.

[I understand] that this is happening, but what’s more important to me is what’s happening right now.” As it stands, Bayer Leverkusen will work with any club that Alonso has a desire to make a move to: Bayer Leverkusen CEO Cerro confirms: “We have a gentlemen's agreement with Xabi Alonso for his exit”. “If a team in which Xabi Alonso has played comes, we would sit down to talk and we would NOT prevent him”.

com via @iMiaSanMia) Injured Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies recently took some time to discuss his buddy, Jamal Musiala. ”I think his mindset and not having the fear to do what he needs to do on the pitch. When you see Jamal dribbling past three or four guys, it’s amazing to watch.

But he needs his teammates to help him with that, and that’s what we’re doing. We just want him to express himself, to be Jamal Musiala. We’re not trying to change him, not trying to replicate his game or change his game.

We’re just trying to let him do what he does on the pitch as always,” said Davies. When asked about their relationship off the pitch, Davies touched on why they seem to get along. “I don’t know.

..maybe when it comes to music taste we’re on the same wavelength.

Just being able to relate to each other on a different level is very special. I mean, he’s still young. He’s still learning.

Obviously I look at him like a little brother and I think he looks at me as a big brother. We just have a dynamic that’s really good,” said Davies.
