Al-Fareed Zafar has said that doctors graduated from AMC who are now serving humanity abroad are a source of immense pride for their alma mater and for Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistani physicians working across the globe represent a valuable national legacy, bringing honor to their country and institution through their professional skills. Prof.



Al-Fareed Zafar expressed these views while addressing a distinguished gathering of luncheon held in honor of AMC Graduates. It is mentionable that these doctors have successfully matched into U.S.

Residency Programs for the 2025 cycle and are currently serving in the National Health Services (NHS) in the UK and Ireland. Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Faraz (Pathology, University of Kentucky, USA), Dr.

Muhammad Abubakar (Internal Medicine, Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, Ohio), Dr. Faiq Masood (Internal Medicine, Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville, Alabama), Dr.

Ahmad Farooq (Internal Medicine, Southeast Georgia Health System), Dr. Zainab Aziz Chaudhry (Internal Medicine, Westchester Medical Center, New York), Dr. Umar Arif (Clinical Fellow, Emergency Department, Portsmouth University Hospital, UK), Dr.

Hassan Abbas (Registrar, Letterkenny University Hospital, Ireland), MS General Hospital, Dr. Faryad Hussain and Dr. Abdul Aziz were also present.

Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants on their remarkable achievements, stating that their success has brought great honor to the institution and will be remembered for years to come. He stressed the importance of career counseling for students, calling it a guiding light that helps individuals understand themselves, make informed decisions, and achieve success in life.

He also announced plans for an upcoming seminar titled “USMLE Match 2026 and Global Career Guidance”, which will be organized by AMC alumni to provide aspiring doctors with insights into pursuing medical careers in the USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, Maldives, and the Gulf countries. The attendees expressed their gratitude to Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar for hosting the luncheon and for his continued support in guiding future medical professionals.
