Gujar khan - District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu, conducted an open court at Sohawa Police Station to directly hear public grievances on Wednesday. Citizens’ complaints were recorded in the online Complaint Management System, with instructions for prompt redressal and follow-up within set timelines. DPO Sindhu emphasized police accountability and immediate relief for complainants.
He also chaired a meeting with the SDPO, SHO, and investigation officers to review pending cases and incomplete challans. Stressing coordination with prosecution, he directed that challans be submitted within the legal 14-day timeframe to ensure timely justice. Later, DPO Sindhu visited Sohawa Police Station to inspect facilities including the front desk, lock-up, and mess hall.
He stressed the importance of maintaining government infrastructure and directed staff to ensure timely FIR registrations and respectful conduct with the public. Women and child protection centres set up in Rawalpindi division police stations DPO Sindhu stated that police stations are being equipped with modern facilities and that officer performance is being monitored daily, with rewards for excellence and accountability for negligence. He said that he was holding regular open court forums across the district to ensure that justice is served at the doorsteps of the people, and strict action is taken against police officers over public compliants.
