In total, this year’s Irish Restaurant Awards – the 16th year of the Awards – received over 165,000 public nominations for restaurants, cafés and other food services establishments across the country. Nominations were made by the public in January through The Irish Times website , the Irish Restaurant Awards’ media partner.

Commenting on the publication of this year’s Dublin shortlist for the Irish Restaurant Awards, President of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Seán Collender, said: “The challenges facing Ireland’s food-led hospitality sector are more intense than ever before but today we celebrate the resilience and brilliance of our industry.” “It is precisely this difficult backdrop that makes the Irish Restaurant Awards such an important occasion. One that allows us to honour the talent, local produce and warm hospitality that continue to define Ireland’s hospitality scene.

” “My warmest congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted in Dublin for the All-Ireland Awards. With competition fiercer than ever, being shortlisted is a real achievement. Wishing all the nominees the very best of luck at next month’s All Ireland awards.
