Dutton launches campaign in one of the election’s 'most important' battlegrounds – video

The opposition leader, Peter Dutton, officially launched the Coalition's 2025 election campaign in western Sydney. Attended by his family, the opposition leader gave a 50-minute speech that covered immigration policy, nuclear energy, tax, crime and Australian manufacturing. Three former Liberal prime ministers were at the launch: John Howard, Tony Abbott and Scott Morrison. Former Liberal PM Malcolm Turnbull was notable by his absence. Dutton was also keen to talk up his interest in western Sydney, calling it one of the 'most important' battlegrounds in the election.
