A new character trailer featuring the barbarian warrior shows him in a fur cloak and horned helmet, with his slow but powerful gigantic axe bludgeoning various enemies to death. While the full list of his abilities has yet to be revealed, the one-minute video offers a quick glimpse of his ultimate.

Screaming with rage, Raider stomps the ground to trigger an eruption of sharp rocks that cement into a large pillar, allowing characters to scale it. The height advantage introduces some interesting utility — in the trailer, the archer Ironeye can be seen firing down at a boss from above, as the hard-hitting brawler leaps off to deliver a plunging swipe. Eagle-eyed viewers would also notice another yet-to-shown character in the party, wearing gold armour and wielding a katana infused with golden magic.

The game will include eight Nightfarers at launch, with Raider being the sixth to be unveiled and joining the Duchess, Guardian, Recluse, Wylder, and Ironeye. Two additional Heroes, one named “Executor”, are set to round out the list. First announced at The Game Awards 2024 , Elden Ring: Nightreign is a co-op spin-off set in Limgrave, now named Limveld, the first open-world area of the base title.

It can be enjoyed alone or in teams of three players, who collaborate over three in-game days to prepare for the final boss, complete with a shrinking gameplay area pulled from the battle royale genre . The upcoming entry comes to PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on 30 May .
