She mentioned that while many people outside the industry perceive acting as an easy job, it actually requires immense dedication and hard work. Eshaa Pathak has been captivating viewers in her role as Gauri on Sun Neo’s show Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri . While her character appears glamorous on screen, the actress revealed that a lot goes on behind the scenes.
She explained that many people outside the industry believe acting is an easy job, but in reality, it requires immense dedication and hard work. Eshaa said, “Being an actor is definitely not as easy as it looks. Even some of my own friends who aren’t from the industry often say things like, “You’re lucky, your life seems so fun and easy.
" They assume that since someone else is doing our makeup, hair, and costume, all we have to do is stand in front of the camera and act. But what they don’t realize is that “just acting" is actually the most challenging part. Every other department finishes their work and leaves, but we’re the ones who carry the character, the look, and the emotions through long, demanding hours," as quoted by Filmibeat.
The actress gave a simple example, explaining that while a stylist may help her wear a heavy lehenga, she has to carry it for long hours and perform, highlighting the physical demands of her role. Eshaa Pathak added that not just physical effort, there’s “emotional and mental pressure" as well. As actors, they have to learn scripts, stay focused, and emote convincingly even if they face troubles in their personal lives.
She said, “Working 12-hour shifts while constantly staying in character isn’t easy – it takes real discipline and emotional strength. Right now, I’m not just Esha, I’m portraying Gauri, and that shift in mindset is a big deal." She added, acting is a tough job, and anyone who thinks it’s easy should try performing just one full-day shoot; only then will they completely comprehend the effort that goes into what they do.
Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri tells the story of Gauri, a courageous and loving woman who turns her unwanted marriage into a transformative journey of strength and self-discovery. The show airs every night at 8:30 p.m.
on Sun Neo and stars Eshaa Pathak, Savi Thakur, and Swati Shah..
