Fashion’s biggest night is nearly here. The 2025 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 5, and fans around the globe can watch every dazzling moment live, thanks to Vogue’s exclusive live stream. Vogue will once again bring red carpet glamour straight to screens, broadcasting live coverage across its digital platforms and YouTube .
The stream starts at 6 p.m. ET and promises real-time access to the arrivals, interviews, and show-stopping outfits that define the annual event.
This year’s livestream lineup includes a mix of returning faces and fresh energy. Singer and actress Teyana Taylor , producer and actress La La Anthony, and comedian Ego Nwodim will host the show, delivering commentary and coverage as stars make their entrance. Internet personality Emma Chamberlain is also returning as Vogue’s special correspondent, ready to chat with celebrities on the iconic Met steps.
The 2025 gala will spotlight a theme rooted in history and style: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The Costume Institute’s spring exhibit opens to the public May 10 and runs through October 26. It explores how fashion helps shape Black identity throughout the Atlantic diaspora.
Organized by Andrew Bolton and guest curator Monica Miller, an Africana Studies professor at Barnard College, the show is structured around 12 elements of Black dandyism. In line with the exhibit, this year’s dress code is “Tailored for You.” The phrase signals an emphasis on menswear while also encouraging individual creativity and personal interpretation on the red carpet.
The event serves as the main fundraiser for The Costume Institute, supporting its exhibitions, programming, acquisitions, and more. As always, the Met Gala’s co-chairs bring star power and style. The 2025 lineup includes Colman Domingo, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, music icon Pharrell Williams, and Vogue’s own Anna Wintour.
NBA superstar LeBron James will join them as an honorary chair. With a meaningful theme, bold fashion, and a powerhouse hosting team, the 2025 Met Gala is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the year. Tune in for a night where fashion meets culture, and the world watches.
