The 2024-25 season is in the books for the Philadelphia 76ers, which means it is the time to look back on the season that was for each player. The Sixers finished 24-58 as they missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2016-17 season amid a slew of injuries. The Sixers used a grand total of 30 players throughout the season and an NBA record 53 starting lineups.
This series will focus on the 15 players on standard deals and the three on two-way deals to finish the season--not anybody who finished the season on a 10-day deal.Up next in this series is two-way guard Jalen Hood-Schifino. After beginning his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, he was traded to the Utah Jazz as part of the Luka Doncic trade.
The Jazz then waived him before he was signed by the Sixers to a two-way deal and he ended up playing 13 games. Here is a review and final grade for Hood-Schifino in his second season in the league:Hood-Schifino's 2024-25 Sixers statsCategoryPPGRPGAPGFG%3FG%Hood-Schifino's numbers7.82.

4%Hood-Schifino's overview of the seasonOne has to give credit to the second-year man out of Indiana for showing off a versatile game. Coach Nick Nurse was able to give him minutes at the point guard spot and he handled things well. He has good size and a tight handle which allows him to run things from that position and he showed off a lot of his overall offensive game.
He has a smooth stroke when it comes to his shooting so one has to wonder if that's an aspect of his game that can be unlocked as time moves on. One has to believe he showed enough to earn an opportunity with an NBA team in the future. Hood-Schifino Sixers highlightsBy far the best game Hood-Schifino had as a member of the Sixers was on March 16 in a road win over the Dallas Mavericks.
He had 19 points while knocking down five triples as he was able to make a big impact for this group on the floor. He provided scoring, didn't turn the ball over, and was a constant scoring option.Hood-Schifino's final gradeThe second-year guard certainly made an impression on the Sixers.
He did some good things offensively and deserves credit for battling on the defensive end as well. He will be a restricted free agent in the offseason so one has to wonder if the Sixers will bring him back and add to their guard depth.Final grade: B-plusThis article originally appeared on Sixers Wire: Final Philadelphia 76ers player grades: Jalen Hood-Schifino.
