ROCHESTER — An early morning fire damaged a Rochester gym Monday, April 14, 2025. Around 4 a.m.
, the Rochester Fire Department was dispatched to WIP Fitness at 1318 Apache Drive SW for a structure fire call. ADVERTISEMENT Upon arrival, smoke could be seen coming from the roof line but there were no visible flames, according to the Rochester Fire Department. Crews located and extinguished the fire.
The fire resulted in extensive damage to the second floor and roof. Smoke damage was throughout the building. In a message to members Monday, the gym is temporarily closed and memberships will be on hold.
The Rochester Fire Department's Fire Marshal's Office is investigating..
