Fire temporarily closes hotel in Winkler

No injuries are being reported after a fire was discovered on a hotel’s roof. Quality Inn & Suites Winkler posted on social media crews were working Tuesday evening to extinguish the fire. It said all hotel and restaurant staff and guests were safely evacuated.

The hotel said its operations are suspended until the investigation is complete and the building is safe to re-enter. Those with reservations are being contacted. CTV News has reached out to RCMP for more information.
