After pets are adopted from the Aiken County Animal Shelter, staff members follow up to see how they are doing in their new homes. Here is some recent feedback from our adopters. Ralphalfa get extra cookies from grandma We love Ralphalfa so much! He is eating fine, house training is going well, he can sit and knows that when grandma comes over, it means extra cookies.
He is a happy, silly boy that has kept us laughing every time he hops around the house. He loves cuddles and stays glued to my side all day while I’m working. Carrie Smith Zeb has other cats coming around to him Zeb’s taking to all of us well.
He has zero issues eating, drinking, etc. He’s finally exploring the house and has no problem relaxing. As for the other cats, he has a few issues, but they’re all coming around to each other.
Most of it seems to be jealousy related (you know, my owner belongs to me, not you). Bryan A. Stratton Cruz is good 75 percent of the time, every time Cruz is eating well, healthy and playing with our other cat! He is behaving except for the occasional one-fourth orange cat antics.
.. Emma Fennell Journey is gentle with autistic boy Journey and her new brother, Biscuit (golden retriever/bassett mix), bonded very quickly and they are now inseparable.
She is also very gentle with my 5-year-old autistic son, and she has been very patient with him as he learns to be gentle in return. She came to us already very potty trained, as she has not had a single accident in the house. Overall, she's absolutely wonderful, and she's been a great addition to our family.
Natalie Blackburn Bonnie & Clyde bring joy to new home The puppies are doing great, growing fast. We named them Bonnie and Clyde. They just had their second vet checkup last Friday.
Clyde is already 30 pounds, and Bonnie is going to remain on the petite side. They have brought so much joy to me and my husband. We love to take them on long walks around our farm and watch them explore!! We are grateful they came into our lives.
Jamie Willing Cooper: big and goofy (and loves kids) Cooper is doing great. He passed his vet assessment with flying colors, sleeps through the night, and came to us already house trained! He's a big, goofy boy who loves other dogs and especially loves kids. We've gotten him crate trained and we are working on leash training.
Rainey Lynch Bubba’s all about the cuddles Bubba’s doing great! We’re working on fattening him up, but he eats well and is very well behaved. He loves going on walks, hanging out on the couch and cuddling with his sisters. We’re so glad we got him.
