Fox News political analyst Brit Hume appeared on Wednesday's edition of Special Report to discuss Donald Trump's efforts to end Russia's war in Ukraine.

Fox News host Brit Hume has openly expressed his confusion over Donald Trump's remarks concerning efforts to end Russia 's conflict in Ukraine . During Wednesday's episode of Special Report, the political analyst engaged in a dialogue with anchor Bret Baier, who referred to a message shared by Trump on Truth Social. In the post, Trump described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as having "no cards to play" against Russian President Vladimir Putin .

Speaking from the White House, Trump declared, "I think we have a deal with Russia . We have to get a deal with Zelensky.

I thought Zelensky might be easier to deal with, so far it's been harder. I think we have a deal with both." Trump further elaborated on Truth Social, writing, "We are very close to a Deal, but the man with 'no cards to play' should now, finally, GET IT DONE.

"I look forward to being able to help Ukraine , and Russia , get out of this Complete and TOTAL MESS, that would have never started if I were President." But Brit appeared perplexed by Trump's remark about the difficulty of negotiating with Zelensky compared to Putin, reports the Irish Star . He commented, "He keeps pounding Zelensky and saying it's harder to deal with him than it is with Putin.

Putin, so far as I can tell, hasn't agreed to much of anything except yes, he'd love to annex Crimea, which is part of the proposal that's before him now. That's no concession. "All that is, is taking a gain.

Zelensky resists that because Crimea, up until the Russians invaded it 10 years or so ago, was part of Ukraine . So, I'm not exactly sure what the president's talking about when he says that Zelensky has been more difficult to deal with than Putin." DON'T MISS.

Trump issues furious warning to Zelensky over Russia peace deal plan: 'Very harmful' Vladimir Putin's sick 'ceasefire' as Ukraine hit by 20 drone and missile strikes White House says US is 'safer than four years ago' in response to travel warnings In a recent outburst on Wednesday, Trump unleashed yet another fierce critique of Zelensky, questioning why Ukraine didn't defend Crimea "eleven years ago" and cautioning that the nation could face complete disintegration if peace negotiations with Russia collapse.

The President criticized Zelensky's firm stance that Ukraine "will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea" claiming it undermines the peace talks and accusing the Ukrainian leader of issuing "inflammatory statements" that might extend the conflict. Trump expressed his views in stark terms, "Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, is boasting on the front page of The Wall Street Journal that, ' Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea.' There's nothing to talk about here.

"This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion." White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had some sharp words for Zelensky, accusing him of "trying to litigate this peace negotiation in the press." She voiced the administration's exasperation by stating, "The president's national security team, his advisers, has exuded significant time, energy, and effort to try to bring this war to an end.

" Leavitt continued with a terse message about the financial cost, saying, "The American taxpayer has funded billions of dollars in this effort. "And enough is enough. The president's frustrated.

His patience is running very thin.".
