Google has surprised everyone with the early release of Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition), an improved model that has upgraded coding capabilities. It’s an upgraded version of the Gemini 2.

Google, in its announcement blog post, notes that Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition) offers “significantly” improved coding capabilities. The latest AI model is also better at code editing, building interactive web apps, and handling tasks like code transformation.
Google also noted that the Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition) stands at the top of the WebDev Arena Leaderboard. That’s a benchmark that tests an AI model’s ability to build some of the most aesthetically pleasing and working web apps.

The latest AI model is also available on the Gemini mobile and web appGemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition) is available via the Gemini API and Google’s Vertex AI and AI Studio platforms. You don’t have to pay a penny extra.
It costs the same as the Gemini 2.5 Pro model and is a great tool for those requiring assistance in coding. Not to mention, it’s also available in the Google Gemini app for the web and mobile devices.
