Ja Morant found himself just a little bit in no man's land. But the NBA's best athlete knew what to do with the Grizzlies trying to battle against the Warriors in the 7-8 play-in game. Morant hung in the air for an extra beat and lifted a lefty shot toward the glass.

Then he landed, jumped again, grabbed the ball in his right hand and went back up for the finish. The pass off the backboard is a legal move, but very few NBA players attempt it. Morant is surely on of the main candidates to do so, given his athleticism and relative health.
