HAIM's performance, ranging from hits off their first albums to new singles from their latest set to come out June 2, delighted the crowd from beginning to end.
Fans danced and sang along as the Los Angeles-based HAIM sisters sang "The Wire," a hit from their freshman album, "Days Are Gone," and screamed even louder when Este Haim shouted, "That I love you, New Orleans!" to replace lyrics in the song to open the set. Danielle, Alana and Este continued enchanting the crowd with hits from their first three albums, such as "Don't Wanna," "Forever" and "Want You Back." (Staff photo by Scott Threlkeld, The Times-Picayune) Fans of their newer music sang along as the group played all three of their most recent singles: "Relationships," "Everybody's Trying to Figure Me Out" and "Down to be Wrong.
" But the most special moment was when the sisters' parents reunited with them on stage for special performance for the first time ever at a festival. Donna and Mordechai "Moti" Haim joined their daughters to perform. The family group was known as Rockin' Haim and only performed covers to raise money for charity before the girls formed their own band.
"Mom, isn't this your first time here?" Alana asked. "I have to tell you this is my first time in New Orleans, and it will not be my last," Donna responded before introducing the cover they would perform. And after the crowd chanted, "Mom! Mom! Mom!" Donna led the band in a rendition of "Mustang Sally," a 1965 classic made popular by Wilson Pickett.
You can watch the video here . After thrilling the crowd, Donna came down to hand out guitar picks to fans at the front of the stage. HAIM continued to enchant its fans as the sun set near the Gentilly Stage.

After an exceptional drum session to close out their song "We Can't Be Friends," the Haim sisters waved goodbye as they walked off the stage, and said summer should start today. That quote led fans on social media to deem 2025 as "HAIM Summer," a play on Charli XCX's "Brat Summer" of 2024.
