Heartland Season 19 could be announced in the next few weeks, if we’re to believe online sources. But what will actually happen?

Season 18 wrapped up at the end of last year, but does Heartland Season 19 have a future? While no official announcement has been made, online leaks indicate it’s a dead cert. Heartland first came to our screens in 2007, following Amy, a young girl who loses her mother in an accident. In the wake of her grief, she decides to continue her work of healing abused horses.

.. until her estranged dad shows up from New York, that is.

Eighteen years later and the drama has kept evolving, but the binge-worthy TV show has still kept close to its core story (and cast, given Amy is still knocking about at the ranch). Unless a TV show is Grey’s Anatomy , it’s unlikely to carry on into double-digits, but Heartland isn’t currently too far behind. With Season 18 drawing to a close in December 2024, an online leak suggests a Season 19 renewal update could come in the next few weeks.

Heartland Season 19 renewal almost certain thanks to online leak According to online leaks, Heartland Season 19’s renewal is set to be officially announced in the next few weeks. This will roughly be in line with previous season announcements, which are usually made during the month of May. One Redditor with apparent connections to CBC staff posted , “Text from my cousin, ‘the leases are all worked out for Heartland.

Expect show to be renewed and announcement in a week or two. Enjoy!’ There you have it Heartland fans, looks like another season awaits.” Related The Way Home may have secretly revealed it will end with Season 3 Before this, the most recent update was given by the same source a month ago.

“At a CBC meeting today , neither the producers nor CBC brass had any update on Heartlands status. When asked showrunner Mark Haroun replied ‘no comment.’ Michael Weinberg and former showrunner Heather Conkie weren’t there which is odd,” it read .

“As stated before, his gut says they renew it but that they won’t get a bigger budget and will have a limited storyline. Still hearing that one of the bigger names might bow out and that a second is looking at other opportunities.” “I hope they do a camping episode with Lisa and Lyndy,” another fan weighed in , with a third adding, “I think it would be cool to have Soraya back, or even Malory and Jake.

” A fourth mused, “I have seen speculation video about Ty’s return. Even though I would like him to come back, I really hope they come up with a better plot than his secretary being in the hospital. Like helping take down poachers that threatened is Heartland family.

I also think Amy shouldn’t just take him back like nothing ever happened.” If the leaks are true and we do get a renewal greenlight in the next few weeks, the pulling-back strategy does make sense. The number of episodes each season is getting continues to slowly fall, ranging from 18 at their peak to just 10 last year.

It was initially reported that all core cast members – Amber Marshall (Amy), Michelle Morgan (Lou), and Shaun Johnston (Jack) – would be happy to continue working on the show, with viewership figures remaining steady over the last couple of years. Likely Season 19 plot points, including Amy’s equine therapy work, Lou’s career balance, and Katie and George’s role at the ranch, all include our key cast. Given what the leaks suggest, we could see all return for a lower episode count.
