Wyoming Seminary scored its two runs in the top of the seventh. Zach Schultz came on to get the final three outs, allowing one hit while striking out two and walking two. Schultz had a single and two RBIs.



Teddy Kraus pitched six innings for Wyoming Seminary, striking out six and walking two. Colin Donovan had a single and an RBI for the Blue Knights, while Leo Nockley had an RBI. Ryan Finlay singled and scored one run, while Ale Weinberger also scored a run.

Hanover Area 11, Tunkhannock 5: At Tunkhannock, Nate Wright pitched three innings of relief to get the win, and Conor Richardson had two hits and scored two runs to lead Hanover Area . Camden Kratz had a single, an RBI and two runs for Hanover Area, while Logan Richardson had a single, two RBIs and one run. Josiah Parr had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for Tunkhannock.

Collin Gregory singled twice and drove in one run. Jack Welles had a single and two RBIs. Wyoming Area 15, MMI Prep, 8: At Wyoming Area, Cody Meade pitched 2.

2 innings of middle relief with five strikeouts to get the win as Wyoming Area defeated MMI Prep . Alex Vacula homered and drove in three runs for Wyoming Area. Jacob Snyder was 3 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Mitchell Rusinchak singled twice and drove in three. Chase Speicher had two hits, two RBIs and three runs. Caleb Skuba was 4 for 4 with four RBIs for MMI Prep.

Adam Frask had three hits, one RBI and two runs, while Ben Drobnock singled twice and drove in two. Northwest Area 18, Muncy 6: At Muncy, Garrett Bau struck out nine to pick up the win, while Paul Voyton and Dominic Cavuto each had three hits to lead Northwest Area to a win over Muncy in a District 4 baseball game . Bau and RJ Moyer each had two hits for the Rangers.

Northwest jumped out to a quick lead, scoring four runs in the first inning. Voyton and Bau each had a double. Softball Tunkhannock 12, Valley West 2: At Valley West, Tunkhannock had 15 hits, five of them doubles, in a win over Valley West .

Addisyn Waterman had three hits, one RBI and three runs for the Tigers. Lucy Karp had two hits, including a double, and two runs, while Erin Van Ness had two hits, including a double, and drove in two. McKenzie Hannon had a double and two RBIs, and picked up the win in the circle.

She pitched all five innings — allowing five hits and striking out six. Isabella Seip had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs for Valley West. Reese McGlynn, Natalie Geffert and Isabella Sobieski each had a single.

Nanticoke Area 14, MMI Prep 0 : In Freeland, Alyvia Schneider had a triple and three RBIs, and Hailey Verazin had two singles and drove in one in Nanticoke Area’s win . Kacey Spencer tossed a five-inning three-hitter with nine strikeouts to get the win. Sophia Cromer doubled and drove in three runs, while Ella Alles had two hits and one RBI.

Natalyn Emil had a double, an RBI and one run. Dallas 2, Crestwood 1: At Crestwood, Nina Barrouk struck out nine as Dallas edged Crestwood in WVC Division 1 softball . Jorja Snyder hit a solo home run to give Crestwood the early lead, but Dallas responded with Gio Smacchi’s RBI in the second, and the Mountaineers took the lead in the fifth on a throwing error.

Crestwood had a chance with first and third with two outs in the seventh, but Barrouk coaxed an infield roller to seal the victory. Northwest 17, Muncy 0: At Muncy, Jordin Bowman picked up her 100th hit as the Rangers blanked Muncy in a District 4 softball game . Bowman was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and three runs.

Olivia Nevel knocked in four runs, and Emily Davis and Ava Ruckle each knocked in three runs. Jenna Robaczewski threw a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Boys volleyball Holy Redeemer 3, Wilkes-Barre Area 0: At Holy Redeemer, Josh Rocha had 35 kills, 11 points and eight digs while Jack Wasiakowski had 40 assists, seven points and two blocks to help Holy Redeemer sweep Wilkes-Barre Area, 25-10, 25-10, 25-18.

Max Mohutsky had 13 points, 10 digs and four kills for Holy Redeemer. Hayden Fleegle had 12 points and nine digs, while Jack Broda had four kills and three blocks. Girls lacrosse Crestwood 20, Tunkhannock 7: At Crestwood, two Comets picked up milestones as Crestwood rolled to a WVC win.

Hannah Ziegler recorded her 400th draw-control win, and Jordan Andrews achieved 100 points in her career. Gia Caporuscio had four goals and three assists, and Ziegler had three goals and three assists. Andrews finished with four goals and three assists, and Mia Manoski scored twice.

Madelyn Bevan and Kayla Griffin each had two goals for the Tigers. Wyoming Seminary 15, Pittston Area 2: At Seminary, Kylie Romanchick scored five goals while Emmy Swartz and Ellie Kersey each scored three in Wyoming Seminary’s win over Pittston Area. Ashlyn Selden and Karinne Podwika each scored a goal for Pittston Area.

Lake-Lehman 15, Wilkes-Barre Area 2: At Wolfpack Stadium, Olivia Oliver and Sara Womach each scored three goals, while Betsy DiGiovanni, Avary Jacob and Kate Hynick all had two in Lake-Lehman’s win. Finley Norconk and Womach each had two assists. Hynick had three assists.

Gianna Gurstinucci and Ava Mondulick each scored one goal for Wilkes-Barre Area. Boys lacrosse Wyoming Seminary 12, Lake-Lehman 5: At Lake-Lehman, Matt Finarelli scored two goals and had an assist, while Hunter Palka had two goals and two assists for Lake-Lehman in a loss to Wyoming Seminary. Anthony Magnotta also had a goal for Lake-Lehman.

Girls track and field Pittston Area 106, Wyoming Valley West 40; Pittston Area 104, Wilkes-Barre Area 46; Wilkes-Barre Area 80, Wyoming Valley West 67: At Pittston Area, the Patriots picked up a pair of WVC wins Tuesday. Ali Butcher and Bella Dessoye each won two events for the Patriots. Butcher won the 100 (12.

6) and 200 (26.7) and Dessoye placed first in the 1,600 (6:22) and 800 (2:24). Hazleton Area 86, Crestwood 64: At Hazleton Area, Sophia Shults won two events to lead the Cougars past Crestwood.

Shults won the long jump (15-11) and triple jump (35-11 3⁄4). For Crestwood, Hope Kline won the discus (109-5) and javelin (90-0), and Katie Kozich was first in the 1,600 (5:24) and 3,200 (11:35). Boys track and field Pittston Area 80, Wilkes-Barre Area 70; Pittston Area 91, Wyoming Valley West 53; Wilkes-Barre Area 96, Wyoming Valley West 49: At Pittston Area, the Patriots picked up two wins in a tri-meet Tuesday.

Caden Boettger won two events to pace the Patriots. He was first in the 800 (2:06) and 1,600 (4:53). For Wilkes-Barre Area, Da’Von Underwood was first in the triple jump (42-6), long jump (21-11 1⁄2) and high jump (5-6).

Tim Leonard won the 100 (10.5) and 200 (21.8).

Hazleton Area 84, Crestwood 66: At Hazleton, Franklin Ritz won three events to lead the Cougars past the Comets. Ritz won the 800 (2:08), 1,600 (4:30) and 3,200 (11:07), while Jose Lopez was first in the long jump (20-9 3⁄4) and high jump (5-10). Owen Pollock was first in the 200 (23.
