Germany national team star and RB Leipzig left-back David Raum spoke up about Bayern Munich ’s Thomas Müller in the wake of the news that Müller’s days as a Bayern player were suddenly numbered. “I told my wife a few days ago that I’m really grateful to have been on the pitch with Thomas Müller,” Raum said in comments captured by Sky ( @iMiaSanMia ). “I’m just delighted that we have such a footballer in Germany.

“I can only give my opinion: If I had him at the club, I would keep him at the club as long as possible, whether on the pitch or on the bench. No matter where. In my opinion, he’s a great person.

It will definitely be strange not to see him in the FC Bayern shirt next year.” Yeah. Strange for all of us, too.
