Ian O’Doherty: I used to hate Irish and dismissed it as a zombie language, but I was quite wrong

Well, they’re at it again. Our friends in the North are having another squabble about things that seem irrelevant to those of us down here (or in the Free State as so many of them like to say). It’s what seems to keep so many of them going.

Why are they bickering with each other like a bunch of grumpy pensioners with nothing better to do than tear down the other side?.
