The Board of Intermediate Education has announced the postponement of the intermediate annual examinations, originally scheduled to commence from April 28. According to an official press release, the exams will now begin on May 5. The Board cited two main reasons for the change.

Firstly, the process of awarding grace marks to all students of the Science, Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and General Science groups in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics for the 2024 first-year exams is still ongoing, as per the recommendations of a special committee. Secondly, matriculation exams are still in progress at several exam centers, many of which are also assigned for Intermediate exams. The Board has urged students and parents to continue their preparation in line with the revised schedule.
