There were two big names in the Georgia backfield this past season as Kirby Smart's team used a "two-headed monster" of sorts. Trevor Etienne, who transferred in from Florida, rushed for 609 yards and nine touchdowns, while true freshman Nate Frazier rushed for 678 yards and eight touchdowns o while earning SEC All-Freshman team honors. Etienne is heading to the NFL, but Frazier appears to be the real deal, and he should be UGA's starter in 2025.
The depth behind him is a question mark, but redshirt junior Branson Robinson apparently doesn't want to wait to find out where he ends up in UGA's plans. It's being reported that Robinson is entering the transfer portal. Georgia RB Branson Robinson tells @RivalsFriedman that he is entering the transfer portal.

com/CiCn2bVx98 As Rivals reports, Clemson, North Carolina, Colorado and Miami are all in the running for Robinson, but wherever he ends up, he's going to be a player to keep an eye on. From Canton, Mississippi, Robinson committed to UGA as a four-star recruit in the 2022 class, ranked as the No. 4 running back in the country.
As a freshman, he rushed 68 times for 330 yards and three touchdowns. He missed all of the 2023 season with a knee injury suffered in fall camp, and in 2024, he was buried on UGA's depth chart. He still did manage to notch three touchdown runs, though.
Robinson is a player who has barely scratched his potential at the college level, and as long as he's healthy, he could be a breakout running back in 2025. Andrew Kulha is probably the only sports writer you know who also doubles as a mortician. Spooky! @KulhaSports.
