The Business in the Parliament conference also takes place this week, which offers opportunities for businesses to network and showcase their operations to a wide range of MSPs and stakeholders at Holyrood. I’m pleased that Lizzy Todd, managing director of Tweetiepie Media and president of the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, will be representing Inverclyde. The end of the Easter holidays also means that young people and students across the constituency will be gearing up to sit their exams.
Some will also be getting ready to transition to primary or secondary school, or further and higher education. I want to wish all those preparing to sit exams or hand in final pieces of coursework the very best. Remember to try to take regular breaks when studying, and to practice healthy habits like drinking enough water, getting some fresh air and getting enough sleep.
This will help you manage the stress, which is only natural to feel. I also want to wish parents, grandparents and guardians all the best for the exam diet – because I know first-hand how stressful that can be for us too. We’re hopeful for our children and nervous on their behalf.
The same can be said for teachers and tutors. It’s important we support them and make sure they look after themselves during this period..
