Investigation after Citrus Heights police shoot man at shopping complex

A man is in the hospital after Citrus Heights police shot him on Monday, officials said. The shooting happened at a parking lot in the Summer Hills Plaza by Zenith Drive and Antelope Road, said Nicole Garing, a lieutenant with the Citrus Heights Police Department. Officers at 10:30 a.m. got a call about a man with a knife threatening people in that area, Garing said. About 12 minutes later, officers found a person matching the description they received.
