Good Morning Britain viewers fumed as the programme teased a huge announcement. Friday's instalment of the ITV programme featured Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins as presenters, while Sean Fletcher joined the duo in the studio to share the rest of the day's news. During the programme, Sean told viewers that Peppa Pig's parents will reveal the gender of their third baby today.
Back in February, Good Morning Britain announced that the beloved children's character was pregnant. The 50-year-old said: "The gender of Peppa and George's new sibling will be announced to the world when the famous chimneys of London's Battersea Powerstation light up blue or pink this afternoon." The report didn't sit well with viewers, who criticised the programme for including it as news.
"Oh ffs," wrote one viewer followed by an angry face emoji. Another furious fan added: " Wow. There are talks about blocking out our sun and our country is falling apart at a rapid rate, and you’re talking about a fictional cartoon pig.
This show makes no sense at all.".
