Sunny Deol's Jaat has earned Rs 77 crore at the box office despite a slight dip on Day 13. Competing with Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2, Jaat saw Rs 1.31 crore on Tuesday.

Sunny Deol’s Jaat is still going strong, even if it’s hit a bit of a speed bump. On Day 13, the high-voltage action drama saw a slight dip in numbers, but it’s nothing to worry about because the film has already raked in a solid Rs 77 crore at the box office. Jaat is currently going head-to-head with Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 at the box office.

After a fiery start and a power-packed opening week, the collections have started to level out a bit. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Jaat brought in Rs 1.31 crore on Tuesday, taking its total collection to Rs 77.

56 crore so far. That’s a slight drop from Monday’s earnings, when the film made Rs 1.85 crore.

The weekend might just give it another push, so let’s see if Jaat can cross the Rs 80-crore mark soon. While Jaat made a little less than Kesari Chapter 2 on Day 13, both films had pretty similar audience turnout in theatres. On April 22, Kesari Chapter 2 pulled in Rs 3.

16 crore, edging ahead in terms of collections. On Tuesday, Jaat recorded an overall occupancy of 12.73 per cent, while Kesari Chapter 2 saw a slight boost with 16.

93 per cent, thanks to a special ticket offer that had prices starting at just Rs 99! Meanwhile, Jaat is still getting solid screen space in major cities, with Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad leading the charge with the highest number of showings. On Day 12, Jaat clocked in Rs 76.25 crore as its India net collection.

The film’s India gross collection stood at Rs 90 crore, while its worldwide tally hit an impressive Rs 102.25 crore. Jaat is an action-packed thriller written and directed by Gopichand Malineni—marking his big Bollywood debut.

The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, and stars Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda in full force, with a solid supporting cast that includes Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj. The story follows Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh, a.

k.a. “Jaat," who’s on a train journey from Chennai to Ayodhya.

But when the train is forced to stop near a small village close to Chirala, things take a wild turn. What was meant to be a quick food break turns into a full-blown face-off with Ranatunga, aka Muthuvel Karikalan, a former commander of the Jaffna Tiger Force who now controls the village like a dictator, with help from some shady local cops. As Jaat spends more time in the village, he sees the fear and pain in the eyes of the people.

He can’t just watch and do nothing so he decides to fight back. What follows is a gripping clash between a fearless brigadier and a brutal warlord, with the village caught in the middle. A part of Jaat’s review by News18 read, “Action fans can rejoice because this is one film that delivers every dhishoom-dhishoom fantasy you’ve had since the ’90s.

The punches land, the enemies fly, and the background score screams intense. The rising tension and explosive clash between Jaat and Rana Thunga fuels pure adrenaline. The thunderous background score and bone-crunching action sequences demand your full attention.
