Jamie Oliver has shared an air fryer hack that'll improve your meals - and it only take a few seconds. The celebrity chef has shared the quick and easy trick on his Facebook page, saying: "This is how you take your air fryer to the next level". In the 30-second clip, Jamie walks his followers through the process to get the most out of your air fryer each time you turn it on.
He said: "Me and my team pushed the air fryer to its limit - and one of those ways was having thinned cooking of the top of that little tray and having other things reheating at the bottom." Sharing a sweet potato recipe , he is seen placing herbs and spices into the bottom of the air fryer before placing the shelf back in place and putting his sweet potato in the section above. He is then able to cook two things at once - and dishes them both up at the same time without wasting extra time or energy.
He added: "But if you think about having meat or fish [dripping] onto beans, chickpeas, tomatoes [below], you can really max out flavour and efficiency really fast." Commenting on his post, one user said: "Just cooked the salmon with salsa dish for our evening meal it was delicious." Another user added: "Awesome.
Cooking in layers. I use mine a lot mostly meats potatoes." A third user said: "Top stuff again, Jamie.
" One more user added: "I have a shelf style air fryer and love it." A final user said: "Just bought some air fryers for school and your book arrived yesterday..
..its beautiful.
Looking forward to trying out some of your dishes." It comes after Gordon Ramsay shared the best way to whip up a perfectly crispy fried egg with a runny yolk that's packed with flavour. The 58-year-old chef suggests adding a knob of butter to the pan and letting it melt, then reducing the heat and adding a sprinkle of salt and pepper before cracking in your egg.
The seasoning and butter will later be used to baste the egg as it cooks, locking in the flavour. Once you've cracked the egg into the pan, crank up the heat and give it a gentle jiggle, waiting for the edges to bubble and blister. Gordon suggests tossing in some chilli flakes for an extra zing, but that's entirely up to your taste buds.
The crucial step is to grab a spoon and baste the yolk with the melted butter and seasonings from the pan, enhancing the flavour and ensuring the egg cooks through. In a YouTube tutorial, Ramsay explains: "All I do now is literally get the butter, shake that [pan] gently, and just baste the egg whites around the yolk. And that helps cook.
" He continues: "Sometimes, with that raw egg white around the yolk, it is uncomfortable, and the best way is to take the spoon and just baste your egg. And look at that, blistering is beautiful." Ramsay then advises: "Now bring [the pan] onto a cold surface that'll help separate, and then underneath, if you want your eggs over easy, you flip that.
I like my yolk really nice and runny." To serve, he says: "When we come to serve, use a spatula to drain off your egg. And there we have a beautiful, stunning, delicious fried egg.
"Runny yolk, nice crispy delicious egg white and when you finish it with that little touch of chilli flake it elevates that amazing flavour.".
