The couple, who have been together since 2016, gave a candid insight into their marriage struggles on their BBC reality show.

During the latest episode, Stacey booked a therapy session at the Henry Centre in Westcliff Essex to help support Joe following his diagnosis of ADHD. In a conversation with counsellor Natalie Corbett, Stacey said: 'I understand Joe's frustration, because he is putting a lot of effort in. 'Like, I would say "Joe I really need help with this, this, and this.

I'm really struggling." And Joe hears that and he wants to support me but he'll do other things that aren't the stuff I'm asking him. 'He gets frustrated because he has worked hard and he has put the effort in.

But you haven't done the things I'm directly asking you for. Joe Swash has revealed that he feels like an invasion in Stacey Solomon's 'perfect' life due to his ADHD during Tuesday's episode of Stacey & Joe The couple, who have been together since 2016, gave a candid insight into their marriage struggles on their BBC reality show 'So I've still got to manage those on my own. You're a great dad and an amazing person, but sometimes I don't think you take into consideration all the fires I've got to put out everywhere.

' Looking defeated, Joe replied: 'I don't even know what to say. It's so frustrating, when all I feel like I'm doing is trying to dedicate myself to my family and do everything I possibly can, every minute of the day. 'And then to sit here and listen to the fact that I'm a huge problem.

..' 'But nobody is saying that.

Is that what you hear?' therapist Natalie asked. Joe interrupted: 'All that I'm hearing is that I'm this huge problem in Stacey's perfect life. That's all I'm hearing.

I don't hear no positive stuff about me as a person.' 'I would say this is our biggest issue in our whole relationship. Is that I cannot say anything without you taking it so personally, as an attack on you as a whole person,' Stacey said.

Joe replied: 'All I ever do is I try and do for my family. So when I hear that, that's not what's coming across. That's frustrating for me.

' Stacey then clarified: 'You're hearing something that's not being said. I have caveated almost everything I've said with a positive, Joe. It's about us working together to manage this situation.

' In a previous episode of their reality show, Joe opened up about his ongoing struggles with ADHD. He said: 'Being a kid, I don't think ADHD back then was even recognised, so I had ADHD and a touch of dyslexia, so I really got tarred with the brush of being a naughty kid. 'I feel like I sort of invented this character to sort of protect myself a little bit, just making people laugh.

' During a candid scene in the couple's kitchen Joe reflected on experiences throughout his life, recalled: 'When I was a kid and when I was at school, I wasn't a bad person, I wasn't a bad boy. 'I was just misunderstood and I always had to pay the consequences for it because no one understood that it was coming from a different place,' Joe revealed. Stacey shared that she had been researching counselling options to help her husband, while Joe met with a psychiatrist and decided to look into medication too.

Looking back at his appointment, Joe shared: 'It was nice to speak to him, because he understands the ins and outs of what's going on. In a previous episode of their reality show, Joe opened up about his ongoing struggles with ADHD 'It's opened up a little box of worms for me where it goes a little bit deeper than I thought it would go.' He appeared to tear up as Stacey commented: 'I do know what you mean, and I do understand and I know that's hard to revisit and I know that's difficult to think about but ultimately you're a good person Joe and you're not able to be your best self at the moment.

'You don't deserve that to be happening to you at this point in your life, you've worked too hard, you've given too much love to your family. 'This is about getting back on your feet and staying consistently in a place where you feel comfortable, safe, loved. Do it for yourself, you deserve better than how you've been living, Joe.

' Joe wiped away tears and Stacey supportively embraced him before adding: 'I love you.' Stacey And Joe airs on BBC One and is available to stream on iPlayer.
