FORMER World snooker champions John Higgins and Mark Williams lock horns again today at the Crucible this morning with 58 ranking titles between them. And Welsh wizard Williams whetted the appetite of fans in the build-up to the clash when he shared on adorable throwback video of the pair of them on their first meeting THIRTY FOUR years ago. 3 Mark Williams during his match against John Higgins as they met in the world championships in 2021 Credit: PA 3 John Higgins and Mark Williams Credit: Eurosport 3 Mark Williams in action against John Higgins Credit: Rex Features The video shows the dynamic duo preparing for the 1991 World Masters Under-16 final at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham , being interviewed by none other than Steve Davis.

It was a match which Higgins would go on to win 6-1, but it illustrates the incredible longevity of the duo who have shared 59 ranking titles in the senior ranks. In the clip Williams and Higgins are asked by Davis about their run to the final.
