Sean Ono Lennon, son of the legendary John Lennon , recently took to social media to emphasize the strong bond he shares with his older half-brother Julian. In a heartfelt Instagram post on April 21, Sean shared a fan account's message that discouraged fans from creating false narratives of rivalry between him and Julian. The post featured a nostalgic photo from the 1986 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and included the caption: "Here, we do not accept comparisons and erroneous creations of fights about two people that John Lennon loved the most: his children :) peace and much, much love.

John had previously fathered Julian during his marriage to Cynthia Lennon. Despite persistent rumors and speculation over the years suggesting a feud between Sean and Julian, stemming from their different experiences with their father, both have consistently denied any ill feelings, reaffirming their mutual respect and affection.
In a recent 2023 interview with Esquire , Julian Lennon addressed long-standing rumors by stating: "It's funny because there's always been, especially in the UK press, 'Lennon Sons Feuding,' this, that. We've never had a fight in our life. It's such bull.
" He elaborated on his efforts to foster family harmony as he shared, "I posted lots of happy pictures of us doing nothing but smiling, laughing, and acting like idiots. This was important for me and for the peace and for family, because there has been friction, no question, in the past between everybody. But we're all getting a bit older, and as we get older, we lose people and we realize now what's most precious in life.
" Expressing affection for his step-brother Sean and other family members, Julian noted that he has nothing but love for my step-brother Sean and the rest of his "old, weird family," including Yoko, Stella, Paul, Dhani, and Zak. In his older age, the musician and photographer reflects on his heritage with renewed pride. Julian shared his emotions about reconnecting with his father’s image, as he told the news outlet: "Watching Get Back, I fell in love with my father again because I saw him as he was, as I remember him as a kid, before it all went a bit pear-shaped.
" He continued: "I came away feeling so proud to be a Lennon. I've always pushed it away a little bt, trying to forge my own path, but after this I've just now taken on this new mantle of like, f-----g, I'm so proud to be part of the legacy and history of what went before and hopefully going to do some justice in carrying on with that.".
