Kanye West, also known as Ye, was banned from Twitch mere minutes into his first-ever stream on the platform. The rapper appeared on the livestreaming wearing a black jacket and Prada sunglasses. As per reports, the rapper well-known for making offensive and antisemitic remarks made another headline with his antisemitic statements and delivering hateful slurs at Jewish community and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Ye didn’t just stop on his controversial statements but also went on to give a Nazi salute while announcing “Heil Hilter” and encouraging viewers and followers to “wear Swastika.” As the controversy on his statement grew, Twitch decided to remove Ye’s channel. After which the Runaway singer’s profile reads, This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
However, even after Ye’s account was banned, the video clip of the same had minted millions of views on other social media platforms. Ye’s controversial statements are also fetching millions of views including the ones in which he is caught making insulting comments on ex-wife Kim Kardashian. He also added that Elon Musk had given him “free passes” to tweet discriminatory messages on social media.
Social media users heavily criticized Ye for displaying racist behavior during the stream, while others praised Twitch for quick action against him. One of the users commented, “This has to be a new world record. The fastest time to get banned on Twitch.
Another user added, “Dude only created an account to say some antisemitism and anti-LGBT rhetoric. A grown ass adult went out of their way to create an account just for that, Third commented, “Twitch got right on that. Nice work.
” Kanye was first accused for making antisemitism in 2022. However, after a series of racist comments, he apologized to the community. His apology reads, “I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions.
It was not my intention to hurt or demean and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”.
