Katseye is all set to mark a new era with a new single, “Gnarly,” on April 30 at 12 p.m., Philippine time.
The girl group shared the news on their YouTube channel, unveiling a 26-second video teaser of the song that showed a refrigerator opening and green liquid revealing the word, “Gnarly.” Katseye also announced their comeback on social media with similar food themed posts including a sandwich on a food board with the single titled spelled in green liquid above it, and their comeback schedule written in familiar food grocerye packaging. Katseye debuted in June 2024 after being formed through the reality show, “The Debut: Dream Academy” under HYBE.
The group includes Filipina member Sophia , who is the first and only Pinoy signed under the record label. The other members are Daniela, Lara, and Megan from the USA, Manon from Switzerland, and Yoonchae from South Korea. The Katseye craze took over Manila in 2024 when the girl group visited the country for a fan showcase, various appearances including “It’s Showtime,” and collaborations with Filipino content creators like Niana Guerrero .
