After Katy Perry's Lifetimes Tour kicked off in Mexico this week, some fans criticized it on social media, saying it wasn't good enough.

Katy Perry's Lifetimes Tour has been branded "low budget" by some critics who tore the show apart on social media. The pop star , 40, kicked her tour off in Mexico City on Wednesday, where she will be performing once again tonight and tomorrow before heading to Monterrey next week. During her first concert, she seemed to hit back at people who criticized her Blue Origin flight by recreating some space moves at CDMX Arena and asking the audience, "Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?" A person shared a clip of Katy singing E.T. with dancers in the background and wrote on it, "Katy Perry said NO BUDGET for The Lifetimes Tour!" with the caption, "The PRODUCTION though!!" In the comment section some people agreed with the critics while others compared Katy's tour to Taylor Swift 's The Eras Tour and others criticized the haters.

One wrote, "She's doing too much but not enough at the same time." Another said, "I don't know how to explain it but she looks bored..

." A third commented, "this literally would have been better if she had a micstand and just stood there. She looks just like me in PE class when I don't want to play hockey.

" A fourth shared, "It looks expensive and cheap at the same time." A TikTok user expressed, "she spent her tour budget on the space flight." One more said, "I'm sorry is it just me or was that underwhelming??" with another critic adding, "someone didn't show up to rehearsals (because she was in space) and it shows.

The singer made the announcement on Instagram, saying, "Sadly, I learned that the construction of Arena Guadalajara will not be complete for their scheduled shows next week, which includes mine on May 1 and 2." She continued, "Last week I sent my team to the Arena to make sure there wasn't anything we could do to make this happen but it was evident when they arrived that the venue was not ready or safe to receive my show or an audience.
