The Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce will act against actor Shine Tom Chacko after actress Vincy Aloshious accused him of inappropriate behavior. The Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has assured action against actor Shine Tom Chacko over allegations by actress Vincy Aloshious. On Thursday, KFCC member Saji Nanthyattu spoke to CNN-News18 exclusively when he confirmed that Vincy filed a complaint against Chacko.
He also revealed that concerning the same, the film body has called for a meeting on April 21. Besides this, Saji also revealed that the issue has also been raised with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). He also assured that the association will take action against Chacko if found guilty.
Vincy Aloshious had lodged a complaint with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) against Shine Tom Chacko, alleging inappropriate behaviour while he was allegedly under the influence of drugs. Vincy claimed the incident occurred during the shoot of the film Soothravakyam. Vincy identified the actor as Shine Tom Chacko in her complaint, and said that he made her uncomfortable with his unprofessionalism and erratic behaviour at work.
“When I had a minor issue with my costume, he offered to ‘fix it’ in front of everyone," she said. She also claimed witnessing the actor exhale a white, powdery substance during a rehearsal. In the Instagram video, Vincy addressed online criticism suggesting she was seeking attention or trying to divert focus from a null in her career.
In response, she stated, “I have the courage to admit I’m waiting for meaningful work. But this is about drawing boundaries at the workplace, not personal gain." Meanwhile, Shine Tom Chacko, the accused, was reportedly seen running from the third floor of his hotel room in Kochi following a drug raid on Wednesday night.
The incident was captured on CCTV. However, he has not reacted to Vincy’s allegations as of now..
