Kesari Chapter 2, helmed by director Karan Singh Tyagi, has achieved a significant milestone by joining the 100-crore club globally. Featuring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan, this patriotic courtroom drama is receiving widespread praise and affection from audiences, maintaining a steady performance at the box office. But did Akshay Kumar’s film face any pressure to deliver massive box office figures? In an exclusive interview with Koimoi, director Karan Singh Tyagi clarified that this was not the case for their project! Discussing his approach while preparing to release Kesari Chapter 2 in theaters, the director emphasized his commitment to quality above all.
He stated, “I want my film to be watched by everyone in the country. I am very happy about that. I am out here to make films for the entire country, and the more people watch my films, the better it is.

He explained, “I was fortunate that my producers, Amrit and Karan (Johar), both kept me away from the conversation about the numbers.” Karan Singh Tyagi further shared that his focus remained solely on enhancing the film’s quality.
He disclosed, “Until the last minute, I was finishing and perfecting my film. We were working on the sound, the background score, and the mix, so they have kept me away from the conversation around numbers, but I am very sure, and I’m very certain, that our movie will only grow, and our movie will not just stay a movie, it will become a movement.” For those unaware, Kesari Chapter 2, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, is based on the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy.
