Someone in the Sacramento Kings organization is apparently a brony. The Kings played on Wednesday night in the Western Conference’s 9-10 play-in tournament game against the Dallas Mavericks . Sacramento was hosting the contest (because they had a better record than Dallas during the regular season) and found a priceless way to troll the Mavericks during pregame introductions.

As the Mavericks were being introduced, the Golden 1 Center began playing the theme song to “My Little Pony.” Each Dallas player’s name was also then followed by a loud horse-neighing sound. You can take a look at the funny clip below.

In the past, other opposing NBA teams have also made some horse-related jokes at the Mavericks’ expense ( including a few that were far less tame ). Unfortunately for the Kings though, it was them who ended up with hoofprints on their face during the first half of the contest. They went into halftime trailing by the lopsided margin of 71-48 thanks to 10 made three-pointers by the Mavericks (including four by Klay Thompson and three by little-known bench guard Brandon Williams).

Ultimately, Sacramento’s troll job might end up going the way of the other one that we saw in the NBA play-in tournament earlier this week. On Tuesday night, an Atlanta Hawks fan tried to distract the Orlando Magic by turning into a literal hawk (as the Hawks eventually went on to lose by a 120-95 blowout final score).
