Kolmar Korea announced on April 17 that it has won the main award in the packaging category at the 'Red Dot Design Award 2025' for its eco-friendly 'One-Hand Pump Paper Pack'. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's three major design awards, organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. It recognizes outstanding design among a wide range of global product entries each year.
The award-winning 'One-Hand Pump Paper Pack' integrates paper pack technology, typically used in the food industry, into a cosmetics container. It features a one-handed pump mechanism and an intuitive design, earning high marks for practicality and aesthetics. This product is particularly notable for being entirely recyclable, allowing for easy cleaning and separation for disposal, thus highlighting its eco-friendly qualities.
Additionally, its structure allows for the stable storage of various cosmetic ingredients, further validating its practicality. Kolmar Korea is currently exploring the commercialization of cosmetic products based on this design. “Since 2018, Kolmar Korea's designs have consistently demonstrated competitiveness by winning major domestic and international design awards," said Kim Hyeong-sang, Executive Director of Kolmar Korea's Design Group.
