KP CM announces Rs50m grant for Paraplegic Centre

Peshawar - Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur visited the Paraplegic Centre Peshawar and announced a special grant of Rs50 million for the institution, along with an increase in its annual grant from Rs300 million to Rs400 million.

Peshawar - Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur visited the Paraplegic Centre Peshawar and announced a special grant of Rs50 million for the institution, along with an increase in its annual grant from Rs300 million to Rs400 million. Accompanied by cabinet members Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Ehtesham Ali, and Humayun Khan, the chief minister reviewed medical services at the centre and directed the release of the remaining Rs75 million from the current grant. He also ordered inclusion of core medical services under the Sehat Card Plus scheme.

He announced that funds for expansion land would be released immediately and the centre’s capacity would be enhanced to 500 beds. Terming the facility a unique institution for disability rehabilitation, he reiterated full government support. CM Gandapur also announced that kidney, liver, and bone marrow transplants, as well as implants, have been included under Sehat Card Plus.



Future plans include coverage for thalassemia treatment and drug rehabilitation services. He said people with disabilities must not be seen as limited, adding, “We must cultivate a spirit of mutual support and collective progress. With shared determination and compassion, success is inevitable.
