Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd believes the club will be "buzzing" that Celtic secured the Scottish Premiership title with only four games left. The ex-Gers player said Celtic should have wrapped up their fourth consecutive title earlier in the season. Currently, the points difference between the two clubs is 17.
Ahead of the final clash of the season on Sunday at Ibrox, Rangers have won the past two derbies. Mr Boyd told the Scottish Sun : "I think they’re probably buzzing it’s only four games to go because, let’s be realistic, it should have been wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. "We’re probably in an era right now where it’s difficult to process from a Rangers point of view.
"If you go back to when you won 55, everybody was feeling that was the time to kick on, and it didn’t happen." He believes Celtic have only grown stronger, despite the managerial change. Mr Boyd added: "I know the job that Ange Postecoglou did was exceptional, but Celtic are stronger right now.
"They have more control of games, they’re scoring roughly the same amount of goals, if not more." Despite Rangers beating Celtic twice this season and the significant points difference, Mr Boyd wouldn't be surprised to see Rangers claim victory on Sunday. He said: "It wouldn’t surprise you if Rangers get something from Celtic at the weekend because that’s what they do.
"They turn up for games when they fancy it.".
