I am proud of Rep. Don Bacon for his support of and commitment to clean energy. For future generations of Nebraskans, including my four children, investing in clean energy is essential to lessen the harmful impacts from the damaging storms, droughts, wildfires and floods that climate change is making more extreme.
That is why I am so grateful to Rep. Bacon, not only for his work with the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus in Congress, but also for recently signing onto a letter urging the protection of the clean energy tax credits that Congress passed as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. These tax credits are helping Nebraska homes and businesses reduce their energy costs while supporting increased investments in clean energy.
I plan to use the solar energy credit to invest in solar power for our home; please keep this credit available for me! Moving solar, wind, advanced nuclear, as well as battery and storage technologies forward helps us build a stronger economy, address climate concerns and strengthen America’s energy independence, which is closely intertwined with national security. Rep. Bacon should keep up the good work in Washington and stay strong in his support of common-sense clean energy policies that benefit Nebraska and our entire country.
