It’s very important that we select the right person for the position as a Lincoln Public Schools board member. Marilyn Johnson-Farr is running in District 7 and she is that right person. She will bring her vast experience, professional qualifications, dedication and passion for making our schools the best they can be.
Our family has firsthand experience with Marilyn Johnson-Farr. She was our two youngest children’s teacher and to this day they refer to her as their best teacher. What stood out was how she was able to make their learning relevant and how she so aptly connected history to current issues, motivating students to learn and be advocates for valuing all people.
Her classroom environment commanded high standards of respect for everyone, where each student felt seen and heard. Also working with her over the years as fellow educators, we know her to have the readiness, ability and experience to discern and prioritize the importance of the various issues that will come before our school board. She will be a school board member who will communicate with and listen to all constituents as she stands for quality education and support of all children.
