In today’s trying times, it’s difficult to find anything positive to say about Oklahoma legislators. Most Republicans are too busy concentrating on social issues and hiding from President Trump to actually have time to pursue issues that are good for Oklahoma. So, when I saw the article in the Tulsa World regarding Republican House Speaker Kyle Hilbert, I just had to comment.
Hilbert is advocating for the establishment of a Level 1 Trauma Center in Tulsa. As a registered nurse, I can attest that this level of emergency/critical care is definitely needed in Tulsa. Sometimes minutes can make the difference in a life or death situation.
Currently, Oklahoma’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, as verified by the American College of Surgeons, is at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Having a Level 1 Trauma Center in Tulsa would save lives. People are also reading.
