As a newcomer to the Tulsa area, I was surprised to find how inadequate the road signage is when approaching Tulsa International Airport. Clear and visible signs are essential for guiding travelers, especially those unfamiliar with the area. Unfortunately, the current signage falls short.
During a recent trip to the airport at night, I struggled to find the correct turnoffs and access points. The signs were either too small, poorly lit, or placed in locations where they could easily be missed. This not only caused confusion but also raised serious safety concerns as I had to make last-minute lane changes and turns.
An airport is a key gateway to any city, and poor signage reflects badly on the area while also putting drivers at risk. I urge city officials and transportation authorities to assess the current setup and consider installing more prominent, well-lit and clearly marked signs to help both residents and visitors navigate safely.
