IT and consumer durables emerged as the top sectoral performers, while pharma and metal sectors saw significant declines. Reliance Industries continued to contribute to Nifty's gains, and investors awaited Q4 results from Adani Power and Federal Bank.

This morning, global cues were largely positive. US markets ended higher overnight while Asian markets started the trade on a positive note. Among stocks, watch out for Bajaj Twins, Trent, and IndusInd Bank.
