He stated that those with autism "will never pay taxes, they'll never hold a job, they'll never play baseball, they'll never write a poem, they'll never go on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted.

Dani Bowman spoke to NewsNation and expressed her disgust at the Department of Human Health Services Secretary's comment, reports the Mirror US . She stated, "Autistic people have the same hopes, dreams, and yes, the same awkward dating moments as anyone else. To generalize and say none of us can work, date, or contribute to society is completely false.

I have a master's degree. "Wanting to cure autism implies that our way of being is wrong, and it isn't," she continued, "We don't need to be fixed. We need to be supported.

" He elaborated, "Recently, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made several comments about people who have autism or similar conditions that I found to be very offensive, so I would like to state that autism is merely a different way of thinking; it is not a disease or disorder, and people who have autism can certainly function interdependently, just as can people who are neurotypical.
